About Dr. Bruce Lasker

With nearly 25 years of professional experience, Dr. Bruce Lasker is a board-certified neurologist licensed in California, Nevada, and Colorado. Dr. Lasker began the journey toward a medical career as an undergraduate at Northwestern University near Chicago. In 1979, he earned his B.A. in Science and completed the university’s Honors Program in Medical Education. Dr. Bruce Lasker continued on to the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and earned his M.D. in 1981. Over the next four years, Dr. Bruce Lasker completed his internship at the Feinberg School of Medicine Department of Medicine, and his residency at the school’s Department of Neurology. Following his residency, he accepted a fellowship in geriatric neurology and dementia at the University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego), in 1985.

At the end of his fellowship in 1987, Bruce Lasker, M.D., started a private practice, Pacific Neurology, in San Diego. In addition to his private practice, he serves as Associate Clinical Professor for the Department of Neurosciences at UC San Diego. Previously, Dr. Lasker also worked as a Neurology Advisory Consultant for the San Diego Alzheimer’s Association and Director of the Alzheimer’s Unit at Mission Bay Hospital.

Dr. Bruce Lasker is affiliated with Sharp Memorial Hospital, Scripps Mercy Hospital, and the UC San Diego Health System.. In addition, he works with the California Division of Workers’ Compensation as a Qualified Medical Evaluator. He is also maintains membership in the American Academy of Neurology.
